There are a significant number of supports available to small businesses in Ireland. Below you will a list of useful supports for your business.
- National Enterprise Hub
The National Enterprise Hub is a new service that streamlines your search for government supports, making it easier to access the help your business needs.
- Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs)
The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) is the first stop shop for small businesses in your local area. There are 31 LEOs across the country which provide advice, information and support for people interested in either starting up or are already in business.
Mentoring is one of the many supports provided by the LEOs. Where deemed appropriate, Microfinance Ireland provides mentoring to approved loan applicants through the LEO Network.
Start-up applicants can avail of up to 5 mentoring sessions and Established Businesses can avail of up to three sessions with the costs covered by Microfinance Ireland.
- Do The Financials
The team at Do The Financials have created a number of online tools to help start-ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs to understand finance and its impact on your business. Understanding how finance drives your business and the impact of your financial decisions will help you manage all aspects of your business more efficiently.
- The Companies Registration Office
If you want to register a business trading name or register a business as a Partnership or a Limited company, you can apply on the Companies Registration Office (CRO) website.
- Citizens Information
Citizens Information provide free, impartial information and advice. They are located across Ireland with 200+ offices.
- Revenue
Revenue assess and collect taxes and duties on behalf of the Irish Government. They are available to support both individuals and businesses in understanding and meeting all tax and customs obligations and can also help with tax entitlement and claims.
- Local Development Companies (LDCs)
The Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) is the representative body of 48 Local Development and/or Area Partnership companies in Ireland.
Their mission is to promote and support social inclusion and local/rural development through the delivery of a number of funding programmes and initiatives. These include the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP)and the Leader Rural Development Programme.
