If you need a business loan but are struggling to get regular finance, Microfinance Ireland may be able to help.

Please note: We must be provided with a formal decline letter/email from an Asset Finance Provider when the loan proposition is to fund the purchase of (i) any type of vehicle (new or second hand) and (ii) any commercial machine/machinery (new or second hand) which is suitable for asset finance type funding.

Get Started: This is an overview of the application process. We are not like other lenders, we will work with you and help you as much as we can. Register your interest: On our website you can register your interest in a business loan with us and the application documents will be emailed to you. You can apply for your application documents here. If you decide to work with your LEO, your Local Enterprise Office, they can help you with the application.

Documents we need

To apply for a business loan with us, you need documents like 6 months bank statements, both personal and for your business, a business plan and a cashflow forecast. If you are limited company, we need a CCR report for all directors and shareholders with 25% shareholding in the company, and last year’s accounts. We also require six months personal bank statements from all parties signing the Indemnity (Directors/Shareholders with 25%+).

Sending the application

Once you have sent in your application to us, we will check that all documents needed are included. If anything is unclear we will get back to you and discuss. We try to keep the information needed to a minimum but as we provide business loans, we need certain financial information to make a credit decision.

The Loan decision: When we have received your completed application, you will receive a credit decision within just 10 working days! Our decision is based on your potential and your ambitions for the future as well as your ability to repay the loan. Unlike other lenders, we look at the future rather than your past credit history.
