Prepare supporting documentation

These are the documents you need to accompany your application form:

1) Business Plan

A summary of your business and any information or research on why the loan facility is being sought.

If you have not created a business plan already please use our template to ensure the correct areas have been addressed. If you already have a business plan created we are happy to accept it.

2) Financial Projections

  • Cash flow projections on a month-by-month basis for Year 1
  • Summary cash flow projections for Years 2 and 3
  • Summary Profit & Loss for Years 1, 2 and 3

3) 6 Months Personal Bank Account Statements

Existing Businesses must supply all of the above as well as:

  • 6 months business bank account statements
  • Recent Management Accounts
  • Certified/Audited Accounts
  • List of Credits/Debtors & Stock Listing

Submit your application and all supporting documentation

If you have applied through your Local Enterprise Office
The Enterprise Office will send your documentation to us directly

If you are applying directly, post all your documents to:

Microfinance Ireland assesses your loan application
  • You will receive an acknowledgement from us of your application by email
  • We will contact you to discuss your proposal and may request further information and/or a face-to-face interview an site visit
  • You will be informed by letter if your loan has been approved or declined
Loan Documentation

If you are approved a loan, you will receive the following by post:

  • Loan offer documents
  • A checklist of documents to return to us
  • Before you can receive the loan funds you will need to supply:
    • a current Tax Clearance Certificate
    • a certified copy of passport or driving license
    • two recent utility bills as proof of current permanent address
Receive your loan funds

Following receipt of all required documents the loan funds will be transferred directly into your business bank account

Start your repayments

Typically loan repayments are by monthly direct debit

Repayments are collected on the 15th of each month by direct debit and generally commence in the month following the drawdown of the loan

Print our application form
  • Download and complete the lending application form
  • Contact us if you want a form posted to you
  • If you are unsure at any stage during the application process, give our team a call and we can point you in the right direction
  • Make sure you sign on page 7 (if applicable) and page 9
